Circus opened up in a small corner of Brixton Village Market in May 2010 as one of a handful of new enterprises who sewed a seed of opportunistic creativity in a neglected part of Brixton. Conceived as a new kind of lifestyle shop, specializing in new designers and vintage finds from near and far flung places.
Circus soon established itself as a destination to come and find one off beautiful pieces for your home whilst championing local artists and makers. Carefully curated vintage pieces sit alongside beautifully displayed modern ceramics, antique textiles, handmade books of poetry, art, glassware, jewels and much more.
Circus ethos is be brave, inspire and never dictate. Most of all have fun!
Five years on Circus is still passionate about beautiful things and creative people. We are constantly scouring every nook and cranny of creativity and bringing back our haul for your delectation.
Voted one of the top 100 independent shops by Time Out last year you are sure to find something unique and beautiful.
Approaching our 5th birthday we have decided to launch Travelling Circus our own range of uniquely sourced products from across the globe. Inspired by our travels near and far it seemed natural to take our inspiration further afield and source items from a more global perspective. We don't like to put limits on design and we now support small creatives abroad who are currently unrecognised.
As well as our own brand products we have recently launched our Classic Collectible Art range. Which include Picasso etchings and Matisse Collotypes and Chagall Lithographs alongside other treasures.
