Nymolle Danish Hanging Discs

These plaques/plates are parts of a twelve piece set, one for each month. Produced in the 1970s by Danish pottery Nymølle. The plaques tell a story of two lovers and their journey from their first date to starting a family.

Bjørn Wiinblad (1918 - 2006) was a Danish ceramist and painter who was internationally known for his characteristic works of art. He was originally trained typographer but soon made a living as an artist. His pieces are displayed at Museum of Modern Art in New York City, Victoria and Albert Museum of London and National Gallery of Denmark, amongst other places.
